NSE Commends Gov. Mohammed of Bauchi on Infrastructure Development

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Bauchi State Branch, has commended the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, for what it described as significant strides in infrastructural development across the state.
Engr. Shehu Wakili, the Chairman of NSE in the state gave the commendation in an interview with newsmen on Thursday
According to him, the Gov. Bala Mohammed led administration’s commitment to the development and rehabilitation of roads, public buildings and other critical infrastructure had contributed to improving the physical landscape of Bauchi State and enhancing the socio-economic activities of its residents.
The NSE Chairman gave the commendation as the governor celebrated his 68th birthday, acknowledging the efforts of the state government in executing projects aimed at addressing infrastructure deficits and improving connectivity across the state.
Wakili added that sustained investment in infrastructure remained critical to the economic growth and development of Bauchi State, stressing that quality roads and other public infrastructure are essential for facilitating movement, boosting businesses and improving the living conditions of citizens.

The society, through its Chairman also emphasised the importance of engaging qualified engineers and other professionals in the planning, design, supervision and execution of government projects to ensure durability, safety and value for money.
The NSE urged the state government to sustain its investment in infrastructure while strengthening collaboration with professional bodies to ensure that engineering standards and best practices are maintained in the execution of projects.
The society further called for continuous maintenance of completed projects, noting that regular maintenance would help preserve government investments and extend the lifespan of infrastructure across the state.
The NSE in the state also expressed its readiness to continue working with the Bauchi State Government and other stakeholders to promote sustainable infrastructure development and engineering excellence in the state.
The Society also called on the state government to replicate the same in the education sector across the state.
The commendation comes amid the administration’s continued emphasis on infrastructure as a key component of its development agenda.
