Nigeria at 66: Our Hope, Our Responsibility, Our Future — Alabi

As Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, Dr. Alabi Oluwatoyin Tajudeen (AOT), an APC chieftain and community leader, has congratulated Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, calling for renewed patriotism, unity and collective commitment to national development.
In his Independence Day message, Alabi described Nigeria’s journey since independence as one characterised by remarkable achievements, challenges and lessons, stressing that the responsibility of building a stronger nation rests on all Nigerians.
According to him, the 66th anniversary should not only be a moment for celebration, but also an opportunity for citizens and leaders to reflect on the progress made, identify areas requiring improvement and renew their commitment to the ideals of a prosperous and united Nigeria.
“Our journey as a nation has not been without challenges, but our responsibility is to continue building a stronger, more prosperous and united Nigeria.
“I believe in continuity where policies are producing results, improvement where challenges remain, and accountability in the service of our people.”
Alabi, who expressed his continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, said he would continue to advocate policies and programmes aimed at strengthening the Nigerian economy, expanding opportunities for young people, improving livelihoods and promoting agricultural development.
He emphasised the importance of agriculture as a major pillar of economic growth, noting that greater investment in the sector could create employment, strengthen food security and open new opportunities for Nigerian youths and entrepreneurs.
The APC chieftain also called for greater attention to the aspirations of young Nigerians, stressing that their energy, creativity, skills and entrepreneurial capacity remain important to the country’s future.
The Kwara State governorship aspirant urged Nigerians to contribute positively to national development, irrespective of political, religious, ethnic or regional differences, noting that the task of nation-building cannot be left to government alone.
“Nigeria belongs to all of us. Let us build it together. Let us continue to support President Tinubu’s dream for the nation,” he said.
Alabi further called for patriotism, responsible citizenship, peaceful coexistence and support for initiatives that promote development and improve the quality of life of Nigerians.
He congratulated Nigerians on the 66th Independence Anniversary and expressed optimism that with collective determination, responsible leadership and sustained commitment to development, Nigeria would continue to make progress.
