DANGOTE HAILS TINUBU ON SEN. OWAN-ENOH AS MINISTER, SAYS $1TRN ECONOMY ACHIEVABLE

 

Africa’s richest man and chairman of the Dangote Group and Dangote Refinery, Aliko Mohammed Dangote, has extolled President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic vision targets of a $1-trillion economy and G-20 status by the conclusion of a potential second term in 2031.

President Tinubu’s administration, which aims to transition Nigeria from oil dependency to a competitive, diversified, and private sector-driven market, received accolades from Nigeria’s industrialist and business mogul.

Addressing the newsmen during a high-level delegation led by the Minister of Industry (State), Senator John Owan Enoh, on an extensive tour of the 700,000 barrels-per-day Dangote Petroleum Refinery, Dangote Petrochemicals complex, and Dangote Fertiliser Limited in Lagos.

Alhaji Dangote commended the Minister for leading a high-level delegation from the Ministry, noting that President Tinubu visioned $1-trillion economy is realistic and feasible.

Dangote expressed that his company’s refinery has keyed into the $1 trillion economy by setting a target of $100 billion (10 percent) by 2031.

He staunchly gratified President Tinubu for appointing Senator John Owan in his administration and pledging commitment towards the industrial economy policies.

Dangote, recounted diverse challenges within the circle of leadership in the industry, he distinguished Senator John as the most outstanding Minister.

Mr. Aliko posited that, “We’ve had different Ministers of Industry and State, but the commitments we’ve had from him are unmatched. I can tell you there is none compared to him.” He added that Senator John Owan’s commitment is absolutely rare.

Dangote further narrated, “Before, we usually conflict with the government to put someone from the Manufacturing Association as Minister of Industry (State). We’ve had them, and we respect them.

Nevertheless, “Senator Owan Enoh has been more committed than his predecessors,” the chairman dangote group, stressed.

The Africa’s richest man thanked the Minister for his covenanted commitment towards ensuring the President’s vision of the $1 trillion economy appears attainable. Mr. Dangote, however, underscores that the Ministry of Industry plays a crucial role in job creation, investment, and wealth creation.
