Gunmen Kidnap Ex-minister Adelabu’s Sister, Children in Ibadan

The sister of the former Minister of Power and All Progressives Congress 2027 gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State, Bayo Adelabu, and her twin children have been kidnapped in Ibadan, the state capital..

The incident reportedly occurred Wednesday morning in the Challenge area of Ibadan South-West Local Government Area, where the victims were intercepted and whisked away by armed men.

Confirming the incident, one of the media aides to Adelabu, Femi Awogboro, said, “Adelabu’s younger sister, together with her twin (Peter and Paul), were kidnapped this morning (Wednesday) by unknown gunmen at Elewura, Challenge, Ibadan.

Police authorities in Oyo State say they are yet to fully verify the incident as investigations are ongoing.

The latest incident adds to a growing wave of abductions in Oyo State, including the recent kidnapping of teachers and students in Oriire Local Government Area, raising fresh security concerns across the region.
