Kwara APC Primaries: AOT Urges Massive Turnout, Calm

Kwara South Will Not Lose Out, Dr Alabi Assures Supporters during thank-you visit
Dr Alabi Oluwatoyin Tajudeen, a frontline All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant on Thursday embarked on thank you visit to Kwara South where he urged the people to turnout en-masse, remain calm and hopeful.
Speaking to some party supporters at Omu-Aran, Oke-Onigbin and Igbaja on Thursday, Dr Alabi said the matter of Kwara South is very crucial to him, saying that greater Kwara is possible and we can make it happen together.
He said that members of the party should remain loyal and faithful to the party, particularly President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s aspiration for second term.
The aspirant said the party leader in the state Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has preferred a candidate and other party stakeholders are still in consultation and meeting.
Dr Alabi told his supporters that he was ready for the primaries but called for transparency, consistency and honesty in the process.
According to him, his support and believe in the party’s supremacy and respect for party leaders must not, under any circumstance, be misconstrued as withdrawal from the governorship race.

The governorship aspirant said “while we are ready to abide by the directive of the party to go into primary, we seriously appeal for a transparent process for all aspirants.
“We are for the unity of the party,” he said.
He warned against violence and anti-party activities, saying that members should remain solidly behind President Tinubu and Governor AbdulRazaq in the state to prevent opposition from taking advantage of the party disunity.
According to him, he had spoken with Dr Yahaya Seriki and other aspirants on the need to ensure smooth and transparent primary in the state
“I want to appeal to all our supporters in the south to turnout massively tomorrow, remain calm, loyal and law abiding throughout the primary and after whatever the outcome.
“Kwara South will definitely not lose out at the end of the whole exercise, if we continue in unity and harmony.” Dr Alabi added.
The governorship aspirant also paid courtesy visit to the Elese of Igbaja, His Royal Majesty, Oba Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmed Babalola Awuni Arepo III. and addressed supporters at the end of his visit.
