Ex-Bursar, Ajani Joshua Wins Kwara APC House of Representatives Ticket for Edu/Moro/Patigi Seat
A former Bursar at the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa, Dr. Ajani Abiola Joshua, has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives in Kwara State.
Ajani secured a total of 20,394 votes to defeat his rivals, Mohammed Baba Ibrahim and Abubakar Taoheed Bello, in the keenly contested APC primary held on Saturday.
According to the official result sheets sighted by this medium, Joshua polled 1,294 votes in Patigi Local Government Area, while Ibrahim scored 9,586 votes and Bello garnered 1,373 votes.
In Moro Local Government Area, Joshua recorded 18,873 votes, Ibrahim polled 52 votes, while Bello scored zero.
In Edu Local Government Area, Joshua secured 227 votes, Bello led with 13,024 votes, while Ibrahim polled 1,551 votes.
The cumulative results across the three local government areas that make up the constituency showed that Ajani polled 20,394 votes, Bello scored 14,397 votes, while Ibrahim polled 11,189 votes.
Meanwhile, the AAJ Support Movement has congratulated Joshua on his victory at the primary election.
In a statement issued by Issa Bolanle AbdulKadir Gbodi, the group expressed delight that Joshua’s dedication, honesty, leadership qualities, and commitment to the progress of his constituents have continued to inspire hope among many.
Gbodi stated that Dr. Ajani Abiola Joshua is a leader who understands the needs of the people and has consistently demonstrated compassion and readiness to serve humanity.
“His vision for growth, empowerment, development, and unity is what our society truly needs at this important moment,” the statement read.
