The National Coalition of APC Support Groups for Local Government Officials (NACLFON) has endorsed Dr. Oluwatoyin Tajudeen Alabi for the 2027 governorship election in Kwara State, pledging to mobilise widespread grassroots support to ensure his victory at the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary.

The endorsement was announced during a stakeholders’ meeting attended by the leadership of the group, local government coordinators, youth and women representatives, as well as supporters drawn from the 16 local government areas of the state.

Speaking at the gathering, the National Leader of NACLFON, Professor Abraham Olanrewaju described Dr. Alabi as a visionary leader whose emergence would usher in a new era of development, inclusiveness and prosperity in Kwara State.

Prof. Olanrewaju said the decision to endorse the aspirant followed extensive consultations and a careful assessment of his record in community service, philanthropy and leadership.

According to him, the group is convinced that Dr. Alabi possesses the integrity, competence and fear of God needed to reposition the state and address its socio-economic challenges.

“We are convinced that Dr. Alabi represents the kind of leadership Kwara State needs at this critical period.

His passion for the people, commitment to development and vision for a greater Kwara distinguish him among other aspirants,” he said.

He added that members of the coalition across the state had resolved to work tirelessly to ensure the aspirant secures victory at the APC governorship primary and subsequently emerges governor of the state.

“We are ready to mobilise our grassroots structures in support of this mandate. We believe this project is not just political but a divine assignment aimed at improving the lives of the people of Kwara State,” he stated.

Also speaking, the Kwara State Leader of NACLFON, Bishop David Omorinoye, said the endorsement aligned with what he described as “God’s agenda” for the state.

He urged APC members and residents of the state to rally behind Dr. Alabi, stressing that the aspirant’s vision reflects the yearnings of the people for purposeful leadership, economic growth and social transformation.

“Kwara people desire a leader with compassion, integrity and capacity.

“Dr. Alabi has demonstrated these qualities over the years through his service to humanity and commitment to community development,” Bishop Omorinoye said.

The cleric further assured that the coalition would continue sensitisation efforts at the grassroots to promote the aspirant’s programmes and developmental agenda ahead of the elections.

Several local government coordinators, youth leaders and women representatives who spoke at the event also pledged unwavering support for Dr. Alabi’s aspiration.

They described him as a bridge-builder and grassroots mobiliser with the capacity to unite the state and deliver impactful governance across the three senatorial districts.

Youth representatives at the meeting noted that Dr. Alabi’s emphasis on education, job creation, agriculture and inclusive prosperity resonates strongly with young people across the state.

Similarly, women leaders commended the aspirant’s longstanding support for widows, youths and vulnerable groups, promising to mobilise women across communities in support of his ambition.

The speakers unanimously declared their readiness to support what they described as “God’s mandate” and ensure Dr. Alabi emerges victorious at the APC governorship primary election.

Responding to the endorsement, Dr. Alabi expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of NACLFON for the confidence reposed in him and pledged not to disappoint the people if given the opportunity to serve.

The governorship hopeful said NACLFON is the fuel and APC the vehicle to the Kwara State Government House in fulfillment of God’s agenda to make Kwara greater and better for all.

He reiterated his commitment to transforming Kwara State through his proposed seven-point agenda centred on security, free and compulsory world-class education, quality healthcare, agricultural revolution, modern infrastructure, tourism development and inclusive prosperity.

According to him, politics should be driven by service, vision and commitment to the welfare of the people rather than personal interest.

“A greater Kwara is possible if we work together with sincerity, unity and the fear of God,” he said.
