Kwara Leaders Preach Unity, Prayers for Nigeria as Muslims Mark Eid-el-Fitr

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has extended warm felicitations to Muslims in Kwara State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, urging them to sustain the virtues of faith, discipline, and good conduct cultivated during the holy month of Ramadan.

In a goodwill message to commemorate the festival, the governor congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, praying that their acts of worship and supplications are accepted by Allah.

“My family and I wish the people of Kwara State, especially the Muslim community, a blessed Eid-el-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan fast,” he said.

He added: “I pray to Allaah to accept our worship and our supplication whilst the month lasted, and to give us the grace to remain faithful and submissive to Him, adherent to the best of manners that the month taught, and observant of His commandments at all times.”

The governor concluded with a message of goodwill, saying, “Eid Mubaarak, brethren.”

In the same vein, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, rejoiced with Muslims on the occasion, describing the Ramadan fast as a spiritually rewarding exercise.

In a statement, Danladi-Salihu urged the faithful not to abandon the lessons of Ramadan but to uphold values such as unity, compassion, and selflessness in their daily lives.

“AlhamduliLlah Robil Alameen for the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast. May Almighty Allah accept all our acts of worship and grant us the grace to carry on the lessons of unity, compassion, brotherhood, empathy, piety, sacrifice, self-restraint, and selflessness beyond the sacred month,” he said.

The Speaker also congratulated Governor AbdulRazaq and the Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, alongside the entire Muslim community on the Eid celebration.

He further called on Muslims to use the festive period to offer prayers for Nigeria’s leaders, stressing the need for divine guidance in building a peaceful, united, and progressive nation.
