Alhaji Taju Adigun Emerges As New Balogun Musulumi of Omupland

 

The Olomu of Omupo Land, HRH Oba Alhaji Muhammed Yakubu Adebayo Buari (Ilufemiloye), has appointed Alhaji Tajudeen Adigun as the new Balogun Musulumi of Omupo Land.

The announcement came on Friday, March 20,2026, at the Eid prayer ground in Omupo, shortly after the Eid prayers, in the presence of Muslim faithful, community leaders, and other dignitaries.

The monarch stated that the appointment of Alhaji Adigun was in recognition of his dedication to the growth of Islam and his contributions to community development in Omupo.

He noted that the title of Balogun Musulumi is a revered position that requires commitment to religious leadership, unity, and service.

Oba Buari urged the new Balogun to uphold the values of integrity, humility, and selfless service, while working collaboratively with Islamic scholars and stakeholders to promote peace and religious harmony in the community.

In his acceptance remarks, Alhaji Tajudeen Adigun expressed appreciation to the monarch and the people of Omupo for the honour bestowed on him.

He pledged to discharge his duties with sincerity and dedication, and to contribute to the advancement of Islam and the overall development of Omupo Land.

The announcement was greeted with jubilation at the Eid ground, as attendees described the appointment as deserving and timely.
