Oluwatoyin Alabi Condoles Emir of Ilorin on Death of Chief Imam

Dr. Oluwatoyin Alabi has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih (OON), describing the passage of the revered Islamic scholar as a profound loss to the Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State, and the Muslim Ummah at large.
In a condolence message released by his media team, Dr. Alabi commiserated with the Mai Martaba, the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, the Ilorin Emirate Council, the Kwara State Council of Ulamah, and the immediate family of the late Chief Imam.
The late Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Imam Solihu, who died on Monday in Abuja at the age of 75, was described as a distinguished Islamic cleric, whose life was devoted to scholarship, service to humanity, and the propagation of peace and moral values in line with the teachings of Islam.
Alabi noted that the death of the late Chief Imam, though saddening, serves as a solemn reminder of the transient nature of life.
According to him, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir was widely respected for his depth of knowledge, patience, humility, and exemplary leadership as the spiritual head of the Ilorin Muslim community, virtues that earned him admiration far beyond the emirate.
Dr. Alabi prayed that Allaah (SWT) accepts the late Chief Imam as a faithful servant, forgives his shortcomings, eases his account, grants him Al-Jannah Firdaus, and comforts his family and the Ilorin Muslim community in this moment of grief.
