Dr. Oluwatoyin Alabi Describes APC Registration as Civic Duty and Pathway to Inclusive Governance in Kwara

Dr. Oluwatoyin Alabi Tajudeen has described the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) membership registration exercise as an important civic responsibility that offers Kwarans a direct opportunity to participate in shaping governance and public policy in the state.
Speaking on the exercise, Dr. Alabi said political participation should not be limited to election periods alone, noting that active involvement in party structures remains one of the most effective ways citizens can influence leadership decisions and development priorities.
According to him, the APC registration exercise provides a platform for citizens to formally identify with a political ideology, contribute to internal democratic processes, and strengthen accountability within the system.
“When people take ownership of political processes, governance becomes more inclusive and responsive. Registration is the first step toward meaningful participation,” he said.
Dr. Alabi emphasized that a well-documented and inclusive membership base would help improve representation, policy feedback, and grassroots engagement across Kwara State.
He encouraged residents who share the vision of progress and good governance to take advantage of the ongoing registration, stressing that participation empowers citizens and reinforces democratic culture.
Dr. Alabi further noted that increased participation would enhance unity, transparency, and internal cohesion within the APC, while also strengthening the broader democratic process in the state.
He reaffirmed his belief that sustainable development can only be achieved when citizens are actively involved in decision-making processes, urging Kwarans to see the exercise as a contribution to the future of the state rather than a routine political activity.
