Dr. Oluwatoyin Alabi Welcomes Release of 38 Abducted Worshippers in Eruku

Distinguished entrepreneur and community development advocate, Dr. Oluwatoyin Tajudeen Alabi, has welcomed the release of the 38 individuals abducted during the recent attack on Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Eruku, in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.
In a statement issued on Monday morning, Dr. Alabi commended the collaborative and tireless efforts of Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON), and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), which led to the safe return of the abductees after days of intense security operations.
He described the development as “laudable and a clear testament to the dedication, synergy, and resilience of both state and federal authorities, alongside the gallant security agencies.”
According to him, “The leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, combined with the relentless hard work of the security forces and government representatives, has resulted in this joyful reunion of the abductees with their families. It brings great relief not only to the people of Kwara State but to Nigerians everywhere.”
Dr. Alabi noted that the abduction at CAC Eruku sent shockwaves through the community and further underscored the persistent challenges posed by criminal elements in parts of the country.
He stressed the need for sustained and intensified efforts against insecurity, saying:
“We must continue to go all out against insurgency and banditry. I urge our gallant security forces to sustain this momentum and deploy every necessary measure to root out criminal elements disrupting the peace and stability of our nation.”

Reaffirming his commitment to community resilience, education, and humanitarian support, especially in vulnerable areas such as Ekiti LGA, Dr. Alabi called on Nigerians to remain vigilant, united, and supportive of government efforts to safeguard national harmony.
The Igbaja-born community leader emphasized that the successful rescue is “a significant victory for peace, security, and collective humanity in Nigeria.”
Choice Reporters recalled that the release of the abducted worshippers was announced on Sunday by the Kwara State Government spokesperson, Rafiu Ajakaye, following several days of coordinated security operations.
The state government attributed the breakthrough to the hands-on leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who personally led the intervention efforts and even cancelled his scheduled trip to the G20 Meeting in South Africa to address the security concerns in Kwara and Kebbi States.
Dr. Alabi also expressed deep appreciation to the Office of the National Security Adviser, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA), and the Nigeria Police Force, which deployed new tactical teams to Kwara on the directive of the President.
