Kwara Governor Urges Corps Members to Embrace Nation-Building Spirit

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has urged newly deployed NYSC corps members to approach their service year with full physical, psychological, and mental readiness, emphasizing their role in nation-building.
Governor AbdulRazaq, represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Amb. Shehu Ndanusa Usman, made the call while addressing the 2025 Batch “C” corps members during their swearing-in ceremony and the official opening of the orientation course at the NYSC temporary camp in Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
He stressed the importance of upholding the values enshrined in the NYSC motto throughout their service year.
Speaking at the event, Kwara State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Olaluwa Onifade, described the swearing-in as a fulfillment of the aspirations of the scheme’s founding fathers. He encouraged the corps members to take advantage of the orientation period to acquire practical skills that would make them self-reliant.
The Chief Judge of Kwara State, Hon. Justice AA Adebara, administered the oath to a total of 3,313 registered corps members, comprising 1,488 males and 1,825 females, formally inducting them into the 2025 Batch “C” service year.
Governor AbdulRazaq’s message underscores the importance of youth readiness and commitment to service as a cornerstone for national development.
