Gov AbdulRazaq Lauds Security Operatives as Kwara Intensifies Crackdown on Criminals
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State on Monday presided over a high-level security council meeting in Ilorin, where commanders of all security agencies briefed him on ongoing operations across the state.
The marathon session, attended by the Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, Department of State Services, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Immigration, NDLEA, and senior government officials, focused on recent breakthroughs in the clampdown on criminal networks, including arrests, prosecutions, and the interception of arms.
Governor AbdulRazaq praised the dedication of the operatives, noting that their sacrifices often go unnoticed.
“Our security men and women are putting in everything to ensure that our people can sleep with their two eyes closed. They deserve all the support we can give them,” he said.
He urged residents to complement the efforts of security agencies by remaining vigilant and sharing credible intelligence. “Security is a collective duty.
“Government and security agencies are playing their part, but the community must also step forward with timely information that can prevent crimes before they happen,” the governor added.
The meeting also featured input from key government aides, including the Secretary to the State Government, the Attorney General, and advisers on security matters, as the state seeks to strengthen collaboration in tackling emerging threats.
