NALVEJ Hails Governor AbdulRazaq Over Kwara United’s Federation Cup Victory
The National League of Veteran Journalists (NALVEJ) in Kwara State, has rejoiced with the Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over the victory of the Kwara United FC at the final of the 2025 President Federation Cup.
The league also congratulated the people of the state, staff, management and the players of Kwara United FC over the feat.
It described the well- deserved victory of the Harmony Boys as a product of deliberate action- plan, praising Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his unwaivering support for Kwara United FC, in particular and the sports sector in general.
In a statement issued at the end of its monthly meeting held at the NUJ Press Centre, GRA, Ilorin, on Wednesday, the league urged Kwara United to go ahead and win the Confederation of African Football( CAF) trophy for Kwara and Nigeria.
The statement was jointly signed by the NALVEJ chairman, Alhaji Tunde Akanbi and the publicity secretary, Alhaji Abdullahi Olesin.
At the meeting, the league unveiled its constitution, following the presentation of the final copies of the document to the chairman, Alhaji Tunde Akanbi by the chairman of the Constitution Draft Committee, Barrister AbdulRahman AbdulMalik.
The chairman and other leaders of the league praised members of the Constitution Draft Committee for a job well done.
The chairman also led members of the league to the AbdulRasaq road, GRA residence of the late governor of the state, Chief Cornelius Adebayo on a condolence visit over the passing of the Second Republic Governor.
Members, had during the league ‘s meeting took turns to extolled the virtues of the late C.O. Adebayo in recognition of his contributions to the development of Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole during his life time.
