Iran launched around 350 ballistic missiles at Israel, with most intercepted, causalities now 24

Since Friday, Iran has launched around 350 ballistic missiles at Israel, with most intercepted by Israeli air defenses, according to new IDF data.

In a major overnight assault around 4 a.m., roughly 40 missiles targeted central Israel and Haifa.

Three key impact zones were recorded, resulting in eight fatalities and 95 injuries: four deaths occurred in Petah Tikva, three in Haifa, and one in Bnei Brak.

The total death toll from Iran’s missile campaign has now reached 24, with one person still missing and feared dead in Bat Yam following a direct hit on a residential building.

The IDF reports that each barrage typically includes 30 to 60 missiles. Iran has attempted larger-scale launches, but Israeli airstrikes on Iranian launch systems have disrupted those efforts.

In each round, about 5-10% of missiles manage to penetrate defenses. Some are allowed to hit uninhabited zones by design, while others that breach the system strike populated areas, causing casualties and destruction.

Military officials stress that while Israel’s air defense network is highly effective, it is not impenetrable.

The public is repeatedly urged to follow Home Front Command instructions and seek shelter during alerts.

Iran’s primary targets have been Tel Aviv and Haifa—Israel’s most densely populated cities—with occasional barrages toward Beersheba. As a result, even a small number of missiles that slip through can cause significant damage.

Another victim of the missile strike in Bat Yam has been identified:

Michael (Miki) Nahum z”l, 61 years old, a resident of Bat Yam and father of four was a casualty.

Earlier, the names of Blina Ashkenazi and Efrat Saranga z”l were also released.

So far, eight residents of the city have been confirmed killed in the incident, and the search for the missing is still ongoing.

The Bat Yam Municipality extends its deepest condolences to the families and continues to support them during this difficult time.

May their memory be a blessing, IDF said. (JBN)
