Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a stark warning to the Houthi leadership, vowing that Israel will eliminate Abdul-Malik al-Houthi if the Iran-backed militia continues its attacks on Israel.

In a statement posted to X, Katz said, “The IDF has just launched heavy strikes on Houthi-controlled ports in Yemen, causing severe damage. The airport in Sanaa remains in ruins.”

He continued, “If Houthi rocket fire on Israel persists, we will deliver harsh blows. Just as we’ve targeted Hamas and Hezbollah leaders—Deif, the Sinwars, Nasrallah in Beirut, and Haniyeh in Tehran—we will also target the Houthi leadership.”

“We will track down and eliminate Abdul-Malik al-Houthi in Yemen. Israel will defend itself with full force against every threat,” Katz concluded.

The Israeli military believes it will take the Houthis roughly a month to rebuild the western Yemeni ports struck in today’s air raid—a response to the group’s recent missile and drone assaults on Israel.

Fifteen Israeli fighter jets carried out the strike, deploying around 35 bombs on the Hodeidah and Salif ports.

The operation also involved aerial refueling tankers and surveillance aircraft.

According to the IDF, the mission aimed to render the ports inoperable, cutting off Iranian weapons shipments and delivering a significant economic blow to the Houthi organization.
