Osun Assembly Passes Consumer Protection Agency Bill

–Invited Attorney General to appear before the lawmakers
The Osun State House of Assembly has passed Osun State Consumer Agency Establishment bill 2025 for the assent of the state governor.
The bill was passed on Monday during the plenary with the motion moved by the Majority Leader Hon Babajide Kofoworola and seconded by Hon Rasheed Bamidele Representing Osogbo State Constituecy respectively .
Earlier, the State House Of Assembly has adopted the reports of the Committee presented by Hon Tajudeen Adeyemi representing Ifelodun State Constituency with adoption moved by Chief Whip Hon. Olawale Akerele and seconded by Hon Sikiru Bajepade respectively
In his brief remarks, the Speaker of House, Rt Hon Adewale Egbedun gave kudos to his colleagues for their contributions toward the passage of the bill.
He noted that the bill would be produced and sent to State Governor for ascent.
However, the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt Hon Adewale Egbedun has invited the Attorney General of the State and Commissioner of Justice for briefing tomorrow.
In the same vain, the Lawmakers dissolved into the Committee of Whole for further consideration of Osun State property protection Bill 2025 while all the amendments and corrections made to the mentioned bill under consideration.
Also Osun State Communal Crime Management and Peace Bulding Bill 2025 has passed first reading at today plenary.
In his brief remarks the Speaker, Rt Hon Adewale Egbedun urged his colleagues to study the bill critically in preparation for its Policy Thrust.
However, under Personal Explanation the Lawmaker representing Iwo State Constituency Hon Rabiu Adeshina appreciated Governor of the State,
Sen. Ademola Adeleke for providing Fire Fighter Truck for Iwo State Constituency.
He confirmed that the Fire Fighting Truck has aassisted the Constituency to curb Fire outbreak, and appreciated the Governor for that gesture.
Consequently, the State House of Assembly hosted Political Science Students of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife who came to witness the proceeding of the House of Assembly.
