Group urges Nigerians to embrace NHIS scheme

A political group under the aegis of Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegebe (DIYO) for Good Governance has urged all Nigerians to embrace the National Health Insurance Sceheme for Universal Health Coverage.,
The Director General of the political group, Alh Abdulwaheed Piri, made the call in Ilorin while speaking with newsmen to appreciate the President Bola Tinubu and Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over the appointment of the former lawmaker, Dr Ibrahim Oloriegbe.
Piri stated that the scheme possesses the ability to transform the country’s healthcare landscape.
He expressed confidence in Senator Oloriegebe’s ability to positively turn around National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), as the new Board Chairman.
According to the group, Sen. Oloriegbe’s wealth of health policy and administration expertise, and his strategic interventions will effectively bridge the coverage gap in the health sector.
Piri also said that Oloriegebe’s appointment exemplifies the recognition of his loyalty and dedication to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The group, therefore, expressed gratitude to the Tinubu and AbdulRazaq for the appointment of the former Senator, explaining that the appointment wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the Governor.
The group while expressing gratitude on the appointment of the former lawmaker, assured the government of their support and loyalty at all times.
Piri also expressed confidence in the former Senator’s ability to turn around the Authority for the benefit of all.
While highlighting Oloriegebe’s achievements in the health sector as the Chairman, Senate Committee on Health, the group said the former Senator would lead the country towards achieving a vibrant healthcare system.
They also canvassed support for the former Senator as he embarks on a new reform and vision that would enhance a healthier nation.
