JAMB Registration Deadline Remains March 8, No Extensions

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reaffirmed that the registration period for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will conclude on March 8, 2025, with no extensions.

The registration period began on February 3, 2025.

This was contained in a statement signed by Fabian Benjamin, Ph.D, the Public Affairs Controller of JAMB.

As of now, over 1.5 million candidates have successfully registered for the examination, aligning with the Board’s projections for the 2025 examination cycle. Despite the recent decline in registration numbers, JAMB urges prospective candidates to register promptly and avoid last-minute rushes.

The JAMB calendar is fixed, with subsequent programs scheduled after registration, including examinations, results management, and admissions exercises.

These timelines are coordinated with other agencies whose operations rely on the completion of JAMB’s processes. Extending the registration period would disrupt not only JAMB’s plans but also those of its partners.

According to the statement, “We strongly encourage candidates to complete their registration as soon as possible, adhering to the established timeline for the 2025 UTME.”

The Board emphasized that there will be no extension of the registration period, and candidates are advised to take necessary actions to complete their registration before the deadline.
