IDF Eliminates Senior Palestinian Islamic Jihad Commander With Drone

The IDF and Shin Bet announced the elimination of a senior Palestinian Islamic Jihad commander in a drone strike earlier this month in Gaza.
The target, Anas Muhammad Saadi Masri, served as the commander of the rocket division for northern Gaza, according to the military. Masri was a key figure in Ispllamic Jihad, orchestrating numerous attacks on Israel and IDF forces.
During the October 7, 2023 assault and subsequent war, Masri oversaw rocket launches from northern Gaza targeting Israeli border communities and directed operatives involved in the attacks.
The IDF emphasized efforts to minimize civilian casualties during the strike, carried out in early December.
Also, a Hamas commander from the elite Nukhba force, responsible for leading the October 7, 2023, attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz, has been killed in a drone strike, according to the IDF and Shin Bet.
The terrorist, Abd al-Hadi Sabah, served as the commander of the Nukhba platoon in Hamas’s West Khan Younis Battalion.
He was targeted in an Israeli strike within a humanitarian zone in the Khan Younis region of southern Gaza.
Sabah played a key role in the Kibbutz Nir Oz invasion, where dozens were murdered and kidnapped.
He also participated in multiple assaults on IDF forces during the war, the IDF reports.
The operation to eliminate Sabah involved measures to minimize civilian casualties.
This targeted strike is part of an ongoing Shin Bet-led effort to neutralize all perpetrators of the October 7 attacks.
