Kwara Speaker, DG NILDS, Ekiti-Kwara Youth Navigators Mourn Late Kwara Gov CoS, Prince Mahe
The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Prince Abdulkadir Mahe, the Chief of Staff to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sheu Abdulkadir Yusuf, and made available to journalists in Ilorin, the Speaker described Prince Mahe as a distinguished public servant and an exemplary administrator, who served both the legislative and executive arms of government with distinction.
“With total submission to the will of Allah, we mourn the death of our father, Prince Abdulkadir Mahe, a distinguished public servant and an administrator par excellence who served the legislative and executive arms of government meritoriously. Surely, this is a great loss to us all,” the Speaker said.
He extended condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Abdulkadir family, and the Ilorin Emirate, noting that the late Mahe was an illustrious son of the Emirate whose contributions would be greatly missed.
“We commiserate with the Emir of Ilorin, the Abdulkadir family, and the Emirate in general on the passing of illustrious Prince Mahe. We equally sympathize with His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on the passing of his Chief of Staff. May Almighty Allah comfort them in this trying moment and beyond,” he added.
On behalf of the Kwara State House of Assembly, the Speaker prayed for Allah’s forgiveness for the late Mahe and asked that he be granted Aljanat Firdaus.
Prince Abdulkadir Mahe, a former Clerk of the Kwara State House of Assembly, passed away while serving as Chief of Staff to Governor AbdulRazaq. His death has been described as a great loss to Kwara State.
Also, the Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman, has expressed condolences to the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, following the demise of his Chief of Staff, Prince Mahe Abdulkadir.
In a statement released on Saturday by his Media Adviser, Mohammad Abdulkadri, Professor Sulaiman described the late Abdulkadir as a paragon of royalty, humility, and piety.
The NILDS DG also extended his sympathies to the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, the royal families, and the entire people of Kwara State, noting that the late Chief of Staff was “a man of impeccable character and a thoroughbred technocrat who left his footprints on the sands of time.”
Professor Sulaiman prayed for Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannat Firdaus and to give his family the strength to bear the loss.
“This is an irreparable loss for the people of Kwara State,” he said.
The Ekiti-Kwara Youth Navigators also noted that they received with great shock and sadness the news of the passing of the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kwara State.
