Kwara govt restates restrictions on Marwa, Okada, trailers on Ahmadu Bello Way

Kwara State Government has said that mini-shuttle buses, taxis, and ride-hailing vehicles are permitted to operate on the Ahmadu Bello Way, which sits the Government House, MDAs, security installations, and other facilities.

This clarification is contained in a statement signed by Olajide Abolarin Anipr, Press Secretary, Ministry of Works and Transport and made available to newsmen in Ilorin.

“This clarification is necessary for public information.

“However, tricycles, motorcycles, and heavy duty trucks are not permitted on the road,” according to a statement by the Commissioner for Works and Transport Engr. Abdulquawiy Olododo.

“The step is driven by security considerations, and to ensure improved public order in that corridor.”
