IDF Announces Death of Muhammad Abu Saheel, Head of Palestinian Islamic Jihad operations

The IDF and Shin Bet have announced the death of Muhammad Abu Saheel, the head of Palestinian Islamic Jihad operations, in an airstrike in Gaza yesterday.
According to their statement, Abu Saheel was killed when fighter jets targeted a command center located within a former school in northern Gaza.
Abu Saheel was a “key operative” involved in coordinating terrorist activities with Hamas and conducting situation assessments.
Prior to the strike on the Fahd al-Sabah School, the IDF says it took extensive precautions to limit civilian casualties, including aerial surveillance and other intelligence measures.
Meanwhile, Israeli troops operating in southern Lebanon this week discovered and sealed a large Hezbollah tunnel concealed beneath a cemetery, the military reports.
Following intelligence on the location, the elite Shaldag unit and ground forces of the 36th Division raided the one-kilometer-long tunnel, situated about 1.5 km from the Israeli border.
The tunnel contained command rooms, sleeping quarters, and weapon depots, and was intended as a staging ground for a planned Hezbollah invasion of Israel.
The IDF sealed the tunnel by pumping 4,500 cubic meters of concrete, utilizing hundreds of trucks and cement mixers.
