NSCDC Trains 64 Private Security Guards in Kwara
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kwara State Command has successfully trained 64 private security guards to boost their efficiency in safeguarding lives and property across the state.
During the passing-out parade held on Wednesday, the representative of the State Commandant, DCC Danladi Darlong, revealed that the trainees were selected from licensed private security companies.
He emphasized that the training, which lasted two weeks, was aimed at equipping participants with essential skills to tackle insecurity in Kwara State.
Darlong highlighted that the training covered modern intelligence gathering, surveillance techniques, and methods for detecting criminal activities.
He urged the security guards to remain vigilant and responsive, while reporting any unethical practices to relevant authorities.
In his remarks, the State Chairman of the Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (ALPSPN), Mr. Paris Agege, praised the NSCDC for its role in enhancing the capabilities of private security guards to ensure they perform their duties effectively.
Certificates were awarded to the participants in recognition of their successful completion of the training.
