SHAVUA TOV – NASRALLAH’S SUCCESSOR ELIMINATED BY ISRAEL?
Hashem Safieddine, a key Hezbollah leader and potential successor to Hassan Nasrallah, has reportedly been unreachable since Friday.
This follows an Israeli airstrike on Beirut’s southern suburbs, part of Israel’s broader campaign against the Iran-backed Hezbollah.
The airstrike, which occurred on Thursday, is believed to have specifically targeted Safieddine in an underground bunker.
Ongoing Israeli strikes in the area, known as Dahiyeh, have hindered rescue operations since Friday.
Lebanese security sources indicated that rescue workers have been unable to access the site of the attack due to the intensity of the strikes.
Hezbollah has yet to comment on Safieddine’s status or the airstrike.
Gen. Michael Kurilla, head of U.S. CENTCOM
Meanwhile, Gen. Michael Kurilla, head of U.S. CENTCOM, arrived in Israel Saturday evening for talks with Israeli defense and military leaders, as the IDF prepares to respond to Iran’s recent ballistic missile strike.
Also, a video shared on social media captures a Hezbollah rocket striking the northern Arab village of Deir al-Asad earlier today.
In the footage, multiple interceptions are seen in the sky, but one rocket lands directly on the roof of an apartment building, right above the individual recording the event.
Three people sustained minor injuries in the attack.
