Kwara Govt Shameless, Proud of Electoral Fraud

 

The PDP Vanguard has noted with interest a statement credited to the Kwara State Government, labeling Dr. Bukola Saraki as compulsive and selfish.

However, we wish to remind the Kwara State Government and the (Un)Honourable Commissioner for Communications, Bola Olukoju, that Dr. Saraki does not have any history of failing to conduct council elections for five years; that unfortunate precedent belongs to AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Director, Communications and Strategies and made available to newsmen in Ilorin.

“Saraki is not the one who failed to conduct elections for five years and is not responsible for the incompetence projected nationally by KWASIEC.

However, nobody is shocked that the Commissioner, who is almost irrelevant, gained his voice when Saraki commended the good people of Kwara State for resisting the fraud perpetrated by the APC in the council election.”

The group added that Kwarans are not even familiar with the name of the Commissioner, as he is a silent minority in the cabinet of the incompetent State Government.”

The PDP Vanguard described the Commissioner’s statement as something expected from a Hitler government, a Nazi-like government that has no regard for universal values, laws, or people, and lacks the capacity to feel shame.

If not, who boasts about an election that is perhaps the most digitally documented election in the state’s history? Even the government can watch their rejection by the people.

“It is not the PDP that tried to frustrate the conduct of the election; it is the Government of Abdulrahman that violated and manipulated electoral laws. The actions of the PDP were in the interest of the people, whom the APC administration has condemned to a terrible fate and condition.

“In addition, the logistical issues and insufficient materials supplied by KWASIEC are not the fault of the PDP. The Commissioner’s statement is an unsuccessful attempt to shift responsibility for their own technical failures, lack of capacity, and incompetence to the opposition.

For a government that failed to conduct an election for five years, lacks accountability, and struggled at the polls, to be this bold is unprecedented. No wonder the Governor is considered a burden by the Federal Government. The KWSG possesses no original or complementary ideas for moving the state forward.”

The PDP Vanguard emphasized that Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq looted the councils’ treasury dry and is currently bombing the state out of progress and development with his incompetence and obsession with cheating, snatch-and-grab culture practiced within the APC.

The Commissioner did not state how they won the election, and the PDP Vanguard challenges the Commissioner to tell Kwarans who actually voted and how the APC convincingly won the election.

“Saraki has no record of owing salaries during his tenure as Governor; rather, he cleared outstanding salaries owed by his predecessor. There is no record of thuggery in 2019 when the APC came into power as the opposition. This amnesia by the Commissioner is worrisome, and for someone who can’t trust his memory, what can such an individual offer to the government?”

“It is not Saraki who kept ₦17bn of Kwara money in an unknown bank, nor did he allocate a whopping sum of ₦17bn to renovate a hotel while workers languish in poverty and suffering. To this moment, there is no communication from the Committee that was constituted to review the state’s minimum wage. Saraki did not build a bridge and refuse to open it as Governor.

Therefore, the Government should strive to use the remaining years it has in power to make a difference before its inevitable expulsion by Kwarans in 2027.”

“Did Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq pay the ₦35,000 wage award President Tinubu advocated for, and how consistent was the meager ₦10,000 he was paying workers? Yet, the KWSG claims it is committed to the President’s efforts on public welfare—what an irony!

The papalliativesederal Government rolled out to reduce the pressure of their policies were hoarded by the Government. Perhaps public welfare has another meaning to the APC government.”

“Saraki did not kill government institutions and run a solo government like AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is doing. We ask if the Un-honourable Commissioner can lift a finger in his Ministry without the nod of the Governor, and how often can he describe his contributions or engagements in the State Executive Council? How many meetings has he attended? For a Commissioner who is merely a seat warmer and almost out of existence due to the ineffectiveness of his office, he should communicate their policies and actions to Kwarans instead of attacking like a dog with rabies.”

Conclusively, the PDP Vanguard revealed that the State Government is proud of its non-performance, and it is also shameless and proud of the electoral fraud it committed against the people of Kwara State.

Reacting the Kwara State Commissioner for Communications,  Bola Olukoju said the state government  find it incredible that Senator Bukola Saraki was talking about people’s welfare.

The record of his iron-fist imperialism, which featured non-payment of salary, use of thugs to intimidate people, and high rate of suicides and destitution and other menaces faced by workers is still fresh.

In 2016 when things were so tough and various categories of workers were not being paid, Kwarans remembered how Senator Saraki was fighting to buy exotic cars while public funds were also being used to transport people to show solidarity for him in the dock.

The same Senator Saraki is notorious for his conversion of public properties for personal use, even as the government he inspired was not paying workers while all their appointees were getting 100% salaries and other perks of office.

The government that he struggles so hard to bad-mouth has cleared the years of salary arrears that his lackeys left unpaid.
