The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has relocated the orientation camp for the 2024 Batch ‘B’ stream II corps members to Adamu Tafawa Balewa College of Education Kangere, Bauchi for the exercise.

This is contained in a statement by the Bauchi state Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs Rifkatu Yakubu in Bauchi on Monday.

According to her, it becomes necessary to move the exercise from the permanent orientation camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the state to the new location due to the directives by Gov. Bala Mohammed for a total renovation of the existing camp structures.

“The relocation to the new facility becomes necessary so as to allow the state government to pursue the renovation work of the permanent orientation camp,” said the Coordinator.

Yakubu further explained that a total of 1,900 prospective corps members had been deployed to the state for this Batch.

The exercise, she added, is scheduled to commence on August 28 and end on September 17, 2024.

“Prospective corps members are advised to avoid night journeys. They are enjoined to always break their journeys and continue on the following day,” she advised.
