Kwara Assembly Calls For Dialogue Over Planned Nationwide Protests

The Kwara State House of Assembly has called on organizers of the upcoming nationwide protests to opt for dialogue rather than demonstrations to address their concerns.

This appeal was made following a matter of public importance raised by Hon. Abdullahi Halidu Danbaba, who represents the Kaiama/Kemanji/Wajibe Constituency, during today’s plenary session.

Hon. Danbaba highlighted that protests may not resolve the current hardships faced by Nigerians, advocating instead for constructive discussions with government officials at all levels.

Other members of the House echoed his sentiments, noting that the economic difficulties are a global issue, not unique to Nigeria.

They urged parents to advise their children and wards against participating in actions that could lead to unrest.

Speaker Engineer Yakubu Danladi emphasized that while peaceful assembly is a fundamental right, it should not disrupt the state’s peace.
