Swift Response Saves Home from Inferno in Ilorin

 

The Kwara State Fire Service swift response to a distress call reporting a fire outbreak at No. 21 Oluwatoyin Street, Olorunsogo, Ilorin, Kwara State, prevented the house from inferno.

This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Hassan Adekunle, Head of Department, Media and Publicity, Kwara State Fire Service made available to newsmen in Ilorin on Sunday.

According to him, a fire appliance, along with its crew, promptly departed the station for the scene to rescue the situation.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a six-room building with two rooms ablaze.

Acting quickly, the gallant firefighters utilized their expertise and firefighting skills to contain and extinguish the fire, preventing further destruction.

Subsequent investigation determined that the fire was caused by a power surge.

Prince Falade John, Director of the Kwara State Fire Service, eemphasied the importance of public safety awareness at all times.
