Correctional Service Controller Dies in Kwara

The Controller of the Nigeria Correctional Service, (NCS) in Kwara State state, Adeyinka Adebayo Oyun is dead.Mr. Oyun died in the early hours of Saturday at his residence in Aiyetoro community, Sango-Kulende area of Ilorin, the state capital.
Tbe deceased was expected to retire in August 2025, according to sources in the Correctional Service headquarters in Ilorin.
Family sources indicated that the late Controller of prisons visited a barbing salon on Friday evening and drove home without any sign of illness.
At his residence on Saturday, people and community members were seen in groups discussing the sudden development.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) has formally announced his death.
This is contained in a statement signed by SC Adegbulugbe Philip Olumide, NCS Public Relations Officer, on Saturday, he confirmed that the deceased was in his office up till 6pm on Friday (yesterday).
According to him, we regret to announce the sudden death of Controller Adeyinka Adebayo Oyun, who passed on to glory in the early hours of today, Saturday 25th of May 2024.
“Until his demise, he was the Controller of Correctional Service, Kwara State Command AA Oyun was in the office until 6:pm on Friday 24th of May 2024 .”
“His Burial Arrangement will be announced later.”
