Super Eagles Defeat Ghana 2-1 In Marrakech Friendly

 

In a friendly match played on Friday night in Marrakech, Morocco, Nigeria defeated Ghana 2-1.

Taking advantage of the FIFA international break, the two rivals from West Africa squared off.

Cyril Dessers gave the Super Eagles the lead after they controlled the first few minutes of play.

In the 38th minute, Dessers scored with ease from the penalty spot.

Under Finidi George’s coaching, Nigeria was unable to convert more of their opportunities; Dessers and Kelechi Iheanacho were responsible for their waste.

But Alex Iwobi found Ademola Lookman in the box in the second half, and he scored a decisive second.

Jordan Ayew had ample time to get one back in the final minute.

In four days, the Eagles will play another friendly against Mali.
