Nigeria Army College of Education (NACOE), Sobi Ilorin Matriculates 265 Students

 

The Nigeria Army College of Education (NACOE), Sobi Ilorin, has matriculated 265 students into various programmes for the 2023/2024 academic session.

The students, who were newly admitted into various Faculties and Departments of the college, took the Oath of Allegiance at the matriculation ceremony held at the Major General S.A Adebayo Hall.

Addressing the matriculants, the Provost of the college, Maj.-Gen. Nasir Babangida,  congratulated the students for scaling the hurdles of qualifying the prerequisite qualifications necessary for gaining admission into the college.

He advised the matriculating students to keys into legacy they meet on ground and pay due attention to their knowledge.

“We will do our best, they should put in their best to acquire what they came for and shun any form of social vices”, he said.

He added that they should always conduct themselves morally.

He urged the students to abide by the rules and regulations guiding the operations of the institution.

Prof. Sikiru Banjo, the Vice-Chancellor of Tie Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state, said that NACOE was affiliated to their university through mutual agreement with approval of NUC.

Banjo, who was represented by the Director of Planning and Quality Assurance of the TASUED, Prof. Owoyele Jimoh, noted that ever since then the collaboration has been good and productive.

He urged the students to do away with anything that can ruin their lives and education such as cultism and other social vices.

He advised the students to be decent in dressing, character and speech.

the Matriculation ceremony was the 6th one to be held in the Institution’s premises.
