UNILORIN Appoints 3 New Governing Council Members

Authority of the Senate of the University of Ilorin and the Congregation have elected two representatives and one representative respectively into the University Governing Council.

At its 299th council meetings, UNILORIN elected Prof. R. F. Bello and Prof. U. A. Raheem, the Congregation elected Mr A. G. Dauda at its 260th

Mr. Dauda, a Deputy Director at the Academic Planning Unit of the University of Ilorin, replaced Mr. Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, who ceased to be the representative of Congregation on the Council following his appointment as the Chief Administrative Officer of the University last year.

Prof. Bello, teaches at the Department of Economics as well as a former Dean, Postgraduate School, University of Ilorin, while Prof. Usman of the Department of Geography and Environmental Management is the penultimate Chairman of the University’s Chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
