KWASU Management Seeks Review of Institution’s Land Status To Prevent Encroachment

 

Kwara State University, Malete, has appealed to the state government to constitute a land review committee to review the status of land ceded to the university and prevent further encroachment by the community

The acting Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Shaykh-Lukqman Jimoh appealed while addressing newsmen on the 10th and 11th combined convocation ceremony of the Institution at Malete in Moro local government area of the state on Tuesday.

 

He said a total of sixteen thousand three hundred fifteen(16,315) students are to graduate at the combined convocation ceremony

 

He said the university would encourage private partnerships to support the effort of the state government in developing the Institution.

 

The acting vice Chancellor said the university has secured the National University Commission’s approval to commence twenty-four programmes.

Professor Jimoh noted that the university will appreciate endowment of any form to properly position it for quality educational service delivery.

Professor Jimoh explained that despite all odds the university has put in place measures to maintain a stable academic calendar.

 

He commended the staff for their commitment towards ensuring the Institution surmounted its challenges.
