Al-Hikmah Varsity Awards Scholarship To  SS2 Student Winner of TVC Women Network School Debate

 

Al-Hikmah University, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Noah Yusuf and Founder, Chief AbdulRaheem Oladimeji have expressed excitement with the victory of Miss Hikmah AbdulKareem, SS2 student at the just concluded TVC Women Network national debate organised for secondary.

 

The Vice-Chancellor at a brief reception for the winner at Ilorin announced scholarship and automatic employment for the 14-year-old girl of Al-Hikmah University International School, Ilorin.

 

The Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the management and founder of the University, Chief (Dr) AbdulRaheem Oladimeji,  awarded a laptop to Hikmah while the School Principal and her coach were given N50,000 cash each.

 

Prof. Yusuf said that the University was proud of her victory and success at the debate, which has brought glory to the Al-Hikmah University International School established in 2021 as a feeder to the university by the current administration.

 

He said the occasion was a testimony to the University’s active participation of the Secondary School with the other 20 Secondary Schools in Kwara for exposure of students and their teachers to quality training, inter-school debates, quiz competitions and education facilities.

 

 

 

The principal of the secondary school said out of over 107 entries submitted across the state, Hikmah emerged as the overall winner and made the institution proud.

 

She thanked the founder of the school, Chief (Dr) AbdulRaheem Oladimeji and the school management for supporting the school, teachers and students.

 

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Akashoro, in his speech, said the management will continue to create a conducive environment for its students to exploit and excel in their chosen fields.

 

The founder of the school, Chief Oladimeji expressed satisfaction and happiness at the efforts and success of the management and prayed that those contributing to the success of the institution would continue to receive Allah’s blessing.

 

Responding to the kind gesture of the University, the winner, Hikmah Abdulkareem thanked everybody who contributed to her success and also the organisers of the TVC Secondary Schools debate.

 

Miss AbdulKareem, a native of Reke in Asa Local Government of Kwara state, won a million naira and a tablet after emerging winner of the national debate.
