Osun Assembly Disqualifies Nominee Over Alleged Assault On Member

The Osun State House of Assembly has disqualified Governor Ademola Adeleke Chairmanship nominee, Samuel Ayodele from Olorunda North Local Council Development Area, Ota -Efun, for assaulting Hon. Olaide Ajibola representing Olorunda State Constituency.
The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun gave the order during the screening and confirmation of the nominees for positions of Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretaries and Caretakers members of Local government, Local Council Development Area and Area Council at today’s Plenary.
He noted that an insult to one member was an insult to all while advising the governor Ademola Adeleke to replace him with another candidate.
The Speaker, Hon. Egbedun urged other nominees to be good ambassadors and take charge of their duties diligently.
He advised all the nominees to justify their nominations with good performance.
In their various remarks, the lawmakers described the nominees as competent people and loyal members of the party.
They noted that the nominees have satisfied the requirements of the House of Assembly.
They urged the governor Ademola Adeleke to proceed with the swearing-in of the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and members of the Caretakers Committee.
They are all confirmed with the motion moved by the Majority Leader Hon. Kofoworola Babajide and seconded by Deputy Chief Whip Hon. Abiodun Ibrahim representing Olaoluwa State Constituency respectively.
