Kwara Fire Service Recovers Body of 21-year-old Girl From Domestic Well in Ilorin
The Kwara State Fire Service has successfully recovered the body of a 21-year-old girl, who fell into a domestic well in Ile-Kangu Compound, Pakata area Ilorin, Ilorin West Local Government Area Kwara State.
This is contained in a statement signed by Hassan Adekunle, the Head of the Department, Media and Publicity, Kwara Fire Service in Ilorin on Saturday.
“Today, Saturday 5th August 2023, a Girl of about 21 years old called Hamudat of Ile-Kangu Compound, Pakata area Ilorin, Ilorin West Local Government Area Kwara State, fell into a domestic well and recovered died.
“The terrible incident took place today at about 14:55hrs [02:55 PM].
“The Kwara State Fire Service swiftly responded to a rescue operation at Ile Kangu Compound, Pakata area, Ilorin, where Hamudat, a mentally handicapped 21-year-old lady, had fallen into a domestic well.
“The skilled Firemen successfully recovered her and safely handed her over to her father, Alhaji Suleiman Issa.
“Therefore Director of Kwara State Fire Service Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa took this opportunity to advise the general public to prioritize safety, and to be more careful in their day-to-day activities also they should desist from sending under Age children to fetch water in domestic wells.
