Kwara State Garment Factory To Generate 2,000 Jobs – Ajakaye

 

The garment factory project embarked upon by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration is to generate Two Thousand direct jobs in the State when operational

Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye revealed this while participating in the 37th edition Media Parliament organized by the Kwara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, in Ilorin, the State Capital

He said the value chains, apart from indirect jobs such as the new businesses and services would spring up in the axis as the factory is ready, and applications have since been taken for different cadres of workers.

Ajakaye explained that the garment Industry would soon start to sew ready-made clothes on an industrial scale to be sold locally and elsewhere, with corresponding benefits to the state.

The Governor’s publicist allayed the fears of Kwarans that the emergence of Governor AbdulRazaq Chairman Nigerian Governors Forum would not affect smooth running out of the state

Mallam Ajakaye said the primary assignment of Governor AbdulRazaq is Kwara development and pledged that the governor is striking balance in his task as the helmsman of the state and Chairman, Nigerian Governors Forum

In his remark, Chairman, State Council of Nigeria Union Journalists, Comrade Abdul-lateef Ahmed pointed out that that the people of Kwara State invested a huge hope in the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in the last four years having renewed this mandate with overwhelming votes

Comrade Ahmed posited that in the face of the current economic reality, expectations of the citizens are overwhelmingly high to see government tapping into window of opportunities to develop the state economy and charged Governor Abdulrazaq not to relent moving the state forward.
