I’ve Done What Previous Administration Couldn’t Do In 4 Years In My 7 Months In Office-Gov Adeleke

 

Governor  Ademola Adeleke of Osun state asserted on Friday that in his first seven months in office, his administration has achieved what the previous administration had failed to get done in four years.

He has also  disclosed plans by his government to announce support plan for   residents and citizens of   the state which would be done in response to the recent removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government. while declaring his administration’s readiness to make life easy for Osun state people.

Former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola and other stakeholders in  the state PDP  have also commended the governor for his robust performance and delivery of good governance in the last seven months.

Adeleke’s spokesman, Mr. Olawale Rasheed made this known in a statement that the governor said this during the meeting with stakeholders in Osogbo.

Governor Adeleke also assured party leaders and members that he will run an inclusive government that leaves no one behind, adding that ‘we will all be accommodated. We will be fair to all’.

‘I appreciate your support then and now. This is your government. We shall all enjoy the fruits of our labour’ he said.

He restated his commitment totowards nning a government that would bring a smile on people’s faces.

Governor Adeleke , who appreciated leaders of the PDP for their support since assuming office, noted that his administration has been working in line with ‘our election promises and the agenda of the party’.

While detailing projects and interventions implemented by his government in respect of health, education and public infrastructure renewal, Governor Adeleke said the PDP-led government in the state has achieved what the APC had failed to do in four years.

‘We are implementing programmes and projects in education, health and infrastructures: what the APC could not achieve in four years, we have achieved within seven months.

We have repositioned the public service, built  roads, bridges and channelisation. We have commenced payment of salary and pension debt.

Your (PDP) government has launched the Osun digital economy agenda. Abandoned projects are being completed. Your government is beating old governance records within a short space of time’ he said.

Speaking on plans to cushion the impact of fuel subsidy removal on Osun populace, Governor Adeleke noted that  ‘We (Osun Government) will soon introduce public transport buses. We are working on adjusting the working time and days. We want to make life easy and enjoyable for our people’.

Governor Adeleke  also assured party leaders and members that he will run an inclusive government that leaves no one behind, adding that  ‘we will all be accommodated. We will be fair to all’.

Former governor Oyinlola, who recalled the initial skepticism about  Governor Adeleke’s governorship,  noted that under seven months the governor has proved skeptics wrong.

He added that the superlative performance of the governor had aided the electoral fortunes of the party in the state and national elections held three months ago.

‘Governor Adeleke has surprised even his worst critics. His performance impresses all and it has strengthened the party and the state. We commend the governor and his team’ he said.
