Kwara/Ekiti Election Petition Tribunal Solicits Cooperation of Parties

The Governorship, National and State Houses of Assembly election petition tribunal for Kwara and Ekiti states sitting in Ilorin has solicited the cooperation of all parties to enable it deliver on it’s mandate.

Chairman of the three man panel Justice T.Asua, who made the call while speaking at the inaugural sitting of the Tribunal in Ilorin, in company of Justice O. Abdulmalik, and Justice Rabi Bashir said the Tribunal will be fair to all parties.

According to him the court will strictly abide by the oath of office.

Justice Asua advised the parties to ensure compliance with the timing of the petition as specified by the law.

In his response on behalf parties in the Petitions,Barrister Wahab Ismail assured that they will give the court the maximum cooperation required to enable it succeed.

The Tribunal has a total number of fourteen petitions so far filled,with Kwara having Ten and Ekiti states four petition.
