#NigeriaDecides 2023: 1.6m Vote In Kogi Governor Hails Smooth Conduct Of Elections

As 1.6 million eligible voters in Kogi State, north central Nigeria, trooped to various polling units in the state to elect the president and National Assembly members of their choice, the governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaha Bello,has commended INEC for a job well done.
He also hailed the electoral act, adding that the two factors contributed to the
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state has commended the smooth conduct of the 2023 general election in the state.
According to him APC will win the election at the end of the crucial national assignment.
Bello gave his assessment of the exercise at his country home, Agassa in Okene Local Government Area of the state, shortly after he cast his vote at unit 11, Agassa , Okeneba , Ahache ward.
He noted that the BVAS used in his polling unit, though initially malfunctioned, but was put to normalcy and served electorate who queued to exercise their civic responsibility to the nation.
Bello,who also commended the security agents in the state for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the election.
He said:”I appreciate INEC for the adequate preparation and execution of the 2023 general election. The BVAS malfunction at the beginning but was rectified and it functioned well.
“I commend the electorate for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner, the election is to enable Nigerians elect credible leaders who have track record of performance and can take Nigeria to greatness.
“The turn out in my polling unit is very high and there is that enthusiasm in the people willing to cast their votes peacefully.
“The process is commendable, INEC officials arrived polling units on time with enough voting materials”.
Meanwhile, our Correspondent reports that, the Logo of Labour Party (LP) was missing on the ballot paper for the Kogi West Senatorial elections as at the time of this report.
