2023 Polls: NSCDC Kwara Command Deploys 2,500 Personnel

The kwara state Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Muhammed Tukur Ibrahim has deployed 2,500 personnel for the 2023 General election within the sixteen (16) local government of kwara state.

This is contained in a statement signed by the NSCDC Public Relations Officer, DSC Olasunkanmi Ayeni in Ilorin on Thursday.

The deployment was done to ensure a hitchfree election and to secure lives and properties of Nigerians before, during and after the election.

In his words, the Commandant commended the people of kwara state for their peaceful nature.

He said, the corps will never take their peaceful nature for granted. We shall do every possible thing to sustain and maintain the peace in the state

He encouraged the personnel to uphold the dignity and the integrity of the corps while discharging their duty during the elections.

He appealed to the youths to desist from any act of violence or actions that can undermine the peace of the society.

He also admonished the politicians to adhere strictly to the rules of the game as given by the INEC.
