By Emmanuel kehinde,Ilorin

Chairmen Senator Dayo Adeyeye, South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA) and the deputy Governor of Kwara State have rallied support for the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, stating that the former governor of Lagos is fit to succeed President Mohammadu Buhari.

Sen Adeyeye on his part believes that challenges of the current debt overhang on Nigeria and other challenges call for extraordinary leadership personified by Tinubu, APC, presidential candidate.

Adeyeye insisted that such challenges amounts to nothing for an extraordinary leader of which Tinubu ranks as one.

Speaking in Ilorin at a special prayer organised by SWAGA in collaboration with other support groups, Tinubu’s antecedents have demonstrated that he is a man born to take up challenges.

“It is always in times of difficulty that we need a great leader who can turn things around.

“This is the time when you need Asiwaju as president.

“When things are easy and rosy, you don’t need that much a fantastic leader.

“When things are bad, when hope is lost, when you need a leader to bring you out of debt, to take you to a higher level, that is when men like Tinubu are called for.

“This is actually the time when Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu is needed to steer the ship of state to a safe harbour,” he said.

Sen Adeyeye also allayed fears of possible emergence of cabal around the APC presidential candidate if he emerges as president, saying that no cabal can exist alongside a Tinubu government.

“I must confess that I only hear about this so called cabal but I have never seen it around Tinubu.

“How can that exist where all Tinubu wants is those who can work and deliver,” he asked.

Deputy Governor, Alabi, also spoke to the quality of foot soldiers and mentees available to Tinubu from which he would draw capable personnel to solve Nigeria’s problem.

“Tinubu is a good man who has built good men over the years.

“That is why I believe he will succeed because only God can stop him from winning but I know that God will not stop a good man like him,” Alabi said.

Speaking further on what APC government under Tinubu will offer the country, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo, convener of SWAGA, said Tinubu is bringing along so many firsts if elected as president.

“For the first time in a long while we are going to be seeing loans to students of university, polytechnics and other tartiary institutions.

“Overseas, students have access to grants which in other words helps our fathers and mothers.

“On insecurity, thank God its going down, but Asiwaju will further degrade it by recruiting more military personnel” he said.

Leaders of support groups at the event spoke up on why Tinubu remains the candidate to beat.

“His family, I mean his wife, children are all on the field with us.

“He is the only political leader doing this,” explained Raji Ibrahim, leader of the North Central support group for Tinubu.

Ayo Omidiran, national woman leader, SWAGA, said that Tinubu has made a pact with women to further mainstream them in governnace.

“You need to have worked with Tinubu to know just how much he likes carrying women along,” she said.
