Kwara Govt Restates Commitment To Make Life Easier For Citizens
The Kwara State Government has restated its commitment to make life easier for the people in its resolve to rewrite the history of the State positively.
The State Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi who stated this in Ilorin while speaking at the fourth Kwara NUJ Carol Service themed “Jesus:our exceeding great joy”, said the State government would continue to create level playing ground for all to practice their faith as guaranteed by the Constitution of the Country.
The Deputy Governor who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Communication, Mrs Christiana Asonibare added that the government would continue to partner stakeholders, professional bodies and Organizations to meet the yielding and aspirations of the people.
Mr Alabi who applauded the NUJ and the organisers of the Carol for standing firm and holding on to their faith urged them to educate the people to take active part in the 2023 General Elections.
In his sermon, Reverend Amos Alabi called on Christians to be the light of the world as the birth of Jesus Christ brings hope, restoration and salvation to mankind.
Reverend Alabi advised them to always be ready to work for the propagation of the gospel and be shinning examples to others.
The NUJ Chairman, AbdulLateef Ahmed in his remarks called on Nigerians to always stand by the truth and ponder on who takes over next year to ensure the development of the Nation.
Earlier in his address of welcome, the Chairman of the NUJ Christian Fellowship, Most Senior Apostle Bunmi Adedoyin appreciated God for His mercy, goodness and benevolence on the life of members of the Union and thanked the people who supported the programme.
The programme was witnessed by eminent personalities, Clerics, Chief Executives of Media Houses including the State First Lady, Ambassador Olufolake AbdulRasaq represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Bode Towoju and the Commissioner for Environment, Mrs Remilekun Banigbe.
