Police Arrest 4 Suspects For Alleged Conspiracy, Causing Harm, Public Disturbances In Kwara

Police in Kwara have arrested four suspects for allegedly disturbing public peace, conspiracy and causing body harm.

This is contained in a statement signed by AS Okasanmi Ajayi in Ilorin and made available to Choicereporters on Monday.

The suspects’ names are listed as follows:
1. Lukman Giwa ‘M’
2. Elesinla Nabeel ‘M’
3. Munirudeen Olosasa ‘M’ and
4. Abdulrasheed Olosasa ‘M’

They were arrested on the Saturday,
December 3rd, 2022 (3/12/2022) at Abdulrasaq Olosasa compound, Ode Alausa Ilorin.

The Police Spokesman said the case was reported at the C Division, Oja Oba Ilorin by Alhaji Abdulrasaq Olosasa that at about 1600hrs, miscreants in their numbers brandishing dangerous weapons, in an attempt to forcefully erect a bill-board of an opposing political party in the same spot his own political party’s bill-board has for years being erected, met a stiff opposition by his party members present, this resulted into a free for-all after his own party bill-boards were destroyed leaving many people injured in the process.

“Police timely intervention eventually restored normalcy, the suspects were arrested at the scene of the crisis, pictures of destroyed bill-boards were taken while the injured victims were taken to the hospital for treatment have been discharged.

The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Police Command, CP Paul Odama psc(+) has directed that the suspects arrested be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

The CP reiterated that the Command under his watch would not fold his arms while some unscrupulous elements attempt to jeopardize the jealously guarded peace currently existing in Kwara State.
