Ex-NAWOJ President, Moji Makanjuola, condoles Daibu, Akanbi families

The respected Jurist of Kwara State High Court, Hon. Justice Safiyya Titilayo Daibu’s death occurred on Monday, after a brief illness.

Chief (Mrs) Makanjuola, the Yeyemeto of Oro-Ago kingdom’s condolence message was contained in a statement released in Ilorin to journalists.

In the statement, the Veteran Journalist and Broadcaster, offered her sympathies to Barrister Daibu and his entire family, urging them to take heart, accept the death as the will of God and take consolation in the worthy life Justice Daibu lived.

“I am personally sad by the shocking demise of my friend and sister, Justice Shafiya Titi Daibu. My thoughts and prayers are with the husband, children, the grandchildren and the entire Daibu family, at this difficult time as we mourn the passing of this diligent Jurist, Justice Titi Daibu,” she said.

The former NAWOJ President, described the deceased as an accomplished jurist and woman of substance, whose standing in the community complemented a sterling career on the bench.

She prayed God to forgive her shortcomings and grant her a peaceful rest.

In a similar vein, Chief (Mrs.) Makanjuola, condoled with the family of late sage, Justice Mustapha Akanbi and the Kwara State University (KWASU) over the death of Prof. Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi, SAN, Vice Chancellor of KWASU, who died late Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the age of 51.

Chief (Mrs.) Makanjuola, the Jakadiyan Lafiya of Uke, Nasarawa State, described the death of the Vice Chancellor has a great loss to the academic community, the Bar Association and Ilorin Emirate.

“This is a young man, whose level of goal-getting was worthy of emulation and exemplary to coming generation.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the young family the Professor of Law left behind and more importantly, the University where he has started dotting his mark of excellence in the few years he assumed office”, she said.
