OSUN ASSEMBLY TASKS FIRE SERVICE ON QUICK RESPONSE TO FIRE OUTBREAK

The State of Osun House of Assembly has charged the officials of Osun Fire Service to respond quick to fire outbreak in the state.

Chairman House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation Hon. Taiwo Adebayo Olodo made this remarks on Tuesday at the ongoing budget defense exercise at the House of Assembly Osogbo.

He gave kudos to the officials of fire service for quick response toward recent fire outbreak at Akindeko area Osogbo.

He advised the officials to put more efforts to sensitize public on fire outbreak.

In their various contributions, the lawmakers advised other MDAs to be more concern on generating revenue to government purse.

They urged MDAs not to hesitate in relating with the supervising committees.

They also urged MDAs to generate revenue from tourism sites across the state.

In their various contributions, the Commissioner for Regional Integration Mr. Olalekan Badmus and his Commerce and Industry Mr. Bode Olanipekun promised to improve on their internally generated revenue to the state.

They solicited for the support of the House of Assembly for success in their deals.

Among the ministries, departments and agencies of government that appeared for budget defense included Ministry of Home Affairs, Osun state Tourism Board, ministry of Culture and Tourism, Osun state Council for Arts and Culture and Osun state Sport Council.

Others are Ministry of Regional Integration and Special Duties, ministry of industries, Commerce and Cooperatives and Osun Micro- Credit Agency respectively.
