Director Kwara Fire Service Urges Nigerians To Be Safety Conscious

The Director, Kwara State Fire Service, Prince John Falade has called on the people to be their brothers keeper and be safety conscious at all times just as thirty two shops were safe from inferno.
Prince Falade who gave the advice at Ogbondoroko during a safety checks and enlightenment in the area said most fire disaster occurred as a result of negligence and careless attitude.
The Director urged the people to always call the Organization on time in case of emergency to ensure safety of lives and property.
He stated that the State government would do all within its power to ensure a better and fire free society calling on the people to cooperate with the organization in the discharge of its functions.
Meanwhile, the Kwara State Fire Service saved a two storey building located at No. 102, opposite C&S Movement Church Muritala Mohammed way, Ilorin.
The Brigade was summoned by one Mr. Chidoke to the scene of occurrence at about 21:43hrs (09:43PM).
However, firemen were able to eliminate the ravaging fire on time and out of the 33Shops on fire, only one shop was affected due to quick response of fire Service.
Reacting to the incidence, Director, Kwara State Fire Service, Prince John Falade urged the citizens to always cultivate the habit of switching off their electrical appliances even before the bedtime, as this would help them to prevent the chances of fire outbreaks in their various homes, and also help them to drastically reduce it.
