2023: 1,500 AA Members Defect To SDP In Kwara

1,500 members of the Action Alliance (AA) led by Alhaji Ismail Adisa has officially announced their defection to Social Democratic Party (SDP) on Friday at SDP secretariat Reservation Road, Ilorin.
Alhaji Adisa, who is a philanthropist, said that SDP is the only party that can save the country and take it to the promised land.
According to him, I contested as a gubernatorial candidate under the political platform of AA in the last election which I came fourth overall.
“Therefore, on behalf of my teaming supporters and my humble self, I denounce the AA and we all jointly and severally resign our membership to join SDP which I pledge to discharge my duty as a party member.
“It is this well positioned and forward looking political party that I pledge my loyalty.
”This is in a bid to contribute towards improving the lives of the masses and expanding opportunities for the youth, women, children and aged ones.
” It is only by working together as agent of development that we can promote excellence, competence, good governance, and enthronement of genuine democracy to save Nigeria”, said Adisa.
In his welcome address, the State Chairman of the SDP, Alhaji Afeez Afolabi, said that SDP is a party to reckon with, saying that he felt highly elated.
He said that the SDP is full of people of integrity that is why they are anxious about joining the party.
According to him, PDP has failed us in the state for 16 years and APC is failing us, so the alternative party is SDP.
He promised to give the new member and old one equal right with fairness, equity and justice.
